Selecting the Right Long English Cucumber
When selecting the right Long English Cucumber, pay close attention to the color. A fresh Long English Cucumber has a deep green skin and no blemishes. Make sure the cucumber you choose is firm and is not soft at the ends.

How to Store Cucumbers
Long English Cucumbers can be stored in the refrigerator (45°F - 50°F) for at least a week after purchase. Wrap unused portions of cucumbers with the cello wrap to preserve freshness.

Cooking Tips
Cutting: For best results, use a sharp serrated knife. First remove the cello wrap on the cucumber. Lay it on its side and cut off and discard 1/2” from each end. Then cut your slices to desired thickness.

Skin Scoring: This is not necessary with Long English Cucumbers but to release more flavors from the cucumber, you can score the skin with a fork before cutting

Sautéing: Cut cucumber slices as directed above to 1/4" thickness. Sauté over a medium heat in a few tablespoons of your favorite sauce. Stir often until cucumbers are crisp with a tender interior.

Steaming: Cut cucumber slices as directed above and place in steamer. Total cooking time of 3–5 minutes.

Long English Cucumbers also taste great when paired with seasonings such as salt, dill, chives, tarragon or mint.
